The league paperwork (rosters and supporting documentation) must be submitted by meeting time.  For each coach and assistant coach to get their Coach Authorization Card the following MUST be submitted by no later than Friday, December 12:

1. A correctly completed
roster in uniform order.  Only use the attached roster in MS Excel format.
Handwritten rosters will not be accepted; rosters should be computer generated
.  Make sure that there are no blanks for an individual player.

2. Proof (eAYSO printout, copy of certificate, copy of confirmation e-mail, etc.) that they are Safe Haven certified and attach it to the roster.

3. A registered volunteer for the current year.  There will be spot checks.  If it turns out that there is a coach or assistant coach listed on the roster/game card who is not in eAYSO as a 2006 registered volunteer, then that team will be assigned a forfeit for the match played.

If not received by the deadline of December 15, coach or assistant coach will NOT have their League Coach Authorization Card on for the first three weekends of the Area League Tournament and the team will take a forfeit. The next time Coach Authorization Cards will be generated is Saturday, January 20, 2007.

Safe Haven Certification

Online SAFE HAVEN Child and Volunteer Protection course - required for all Coaches and Referees - can now be taken from home!

Please note - this link takes you to the online course provided by our friends in AYSO Region 36 (San Mateo); contacts listed on their site have some of the same board member titles but of course links go to them, not to us.

Coaches are required to be a Registered Volunteer, and Safe Haven trained - these are the basics for you to have interactions with our children. The area is moving towards requiring age-specific coach certifications.  You are encouraged to get the required training in order to provide the best AYSO driven skills for our children.
Thank you in advance for your time and being part of our children's lives as a properly trained AYSO volunteer.

Yours in youth development,
Area 1-D Beach Cities

You must enroll in a region course or take the
Safe Haven course online (Safe Haven Information).
Proof of Safe Haven course completion is required.
